Job Application Requirements

The Lamar County School System will post all vacancies. Applicants that feel they possess the qualifications for the advertised vacancy may apply. Qualified candidates will be considered for initial interviews and contacted at a later date.

Only applicants with completed application packets will be selected and considered for review. It is essential that all pertinent information pertaining to employment with the Lamar County Board of Education be on file.

Application Packet for CERTIFIED TEACHERS

  • Completed Lamar County Board of Education Application

  • Copy or proof of valid Alabama Certificate

  • Verification of previous teaching experience

  • Resume (if applicable)

Application Packet for SUPPORT PERSONNEL

  • Completed Lamar County Board of Education Application

  • Resume (if applicable)

A professional application can be printed, completed, and returned in person, by mail, fax, or email.

If an applicant chooses to apply through the state online application process, he/she still MUST notify Falla Bradford at the Lamar County Board of Education of his/her interest in being interviewed by our system and meet the above application requirements.

Active Status of Application Forms

Completed application forms will remain on file and active for not less than two calendar years. Each October, all applications will be reviewed to determine active/inactive status. Applications older than two years that have not been updated by October 1st of each calendar year will become inactive and be discarded.
