The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. For more than 80 years, it has prepared today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. The Sulligent High School Chapter of the National Sr Beta Club was founded in 1938.
The mission of our organization is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership among students in grades 9-12. We strive to accomplish this by
-
recognizing and honoring high academic achievement
-
preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful
-
developing the leaders of tomorrow
-
demonstrating the Beta Club motto: Let Us Lead by Serving Others
Sulligent High School 12th-grade members who are active in our club are encouraged to apply and participate in the National Beta Scholarship Program. This program offers over $300,000 in scholarships to outstanding members in their 12th-grade year. Over 250 scholarships are awarded each year across the country, ranging in value from $1,000 to $20,000. Selection of National Beta Scholarship winners is based on academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, commendable character, school and community service, as well as National Beta Involvement.
