Hello! I am Tracey Walker and I love Vernon Elementary! I am privileged to work with dedicated teachers and staff who go above and beyond to see our students succeed. It is a true blessing to be a part of an amazing family of educators!

This begins my 17th year as principal at Vernon Elementary. I previously taught 9 years in special education, at Lamar County High School.

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and serving others.

I believe all students should be actively engaged in their learning by teachers who value and inspire them. Every child deserves a teacher who loves teaching, so they love learning. Those are my goals for every teacher and student in our school. Each to know their value, be inspiring to others, and love to learn.
