After the fun of the house competition, we introduced our students to incentive day! Incentive days are a way to encourage good behavior and hard work in the classroom! If the students at the end of the 9 weeks do not have an office referral and are passing their classes, they get to attend incentive day! It’s always a good time for everyone! 🐾🤍💛🖤

Our games were “back to school” themed. We had pass the pencil, late for the bus , human Hungry hippos(if you have teens, then you get it) , cafeteria chaos, and book balance relay! Once again these games are designed for team building opportunities with their peers in their house! We are teaching that we are stronger together! The houses are a drawing and completely random so the students have the opportunity to meet and build relationships with some of the peers they might not normally have a chance to spend time with. This has been such an awesome experience for all of us at LCHS/VIS!🐾💛🖤🤍❤️💙💚

Alabama's House Bill 7 was signed into law and is effective as of July 1, 2026.
Parents and guardians, please talk to your students about the implications and consequences of the things they say to others at school. Even if they are "just mad" and even if "they didn't mean it," this new law REQUIRES the schools to follow a specific process in how threats are handled at school.
Alabama's school threat legislation under House Bill 7 standardizes district responses to threats, increases criminal penalties for students and their parents, and mandates strict mental health and legal clearances before an accused student can return to school.
