Tommy Chism, Principal
Mr. Chism has been involved in education for over 25 years. He was raised and currently lives in Lamar County. He received his Bachelor's degree in Education at the University of Alabama and his Master's in Administration from the University of North Alabama. He has been at Sulligent School for the past 19 years and has served as Physical Education Teacher, High School Assistant Principal, Elementary Principal, and High School Boys Basketball Coach.
Mr. Chism believes that with hard work and dedication we can make an impact on each child's life in a special way that will impact their future positively. Keeping a positive atmosphere is key to success as well as keeping the lines of communication open among staff, students, and parents. He believes that through teamwork a school can be successful in reaching its goal of helping a child attain his/her full potential.
Mr. Chism is excited to serve as the Principal of Sulligent High School and is honored to have this opportunity. He looks forward to a great school year.

Amy Lacy
Amy Lacy, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Amy Lacy is originally from Lamar County and graduated from Lamar County High School in 1992. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 1996 and received her masters degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of North Alabama in 2012. She began her career with the Starkville City Schools in Starkville, Mississippi before moving back home to Lamar County. She then began teaching 6th grade at Sulligent Elementary. She has been teaching in Lamar County for the past twenty years. During her educational career, she has received her National Board Certification and served as an ARI Instructional Coach for the last ten years.
She is honored to serve as Sulligent Elementary Principal and loves our students!
